Accessibility
Built to be viewed by everyone.
Standard
This site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.
What’s in place
- Every page, the work viewer and the video player work from a keyboard, with visible focus.
- Video controls: space or K plays and pauses, the arrow keys seek, M toggles sound and F goes full screen.
- With “reduce motion” turned on, background loops stay still and the home page shows a title card instead of video.
- The home page video can be paused from the keyboard: tab to “Pause background video”.
- Images and controls have text alternatives, and text meets AA contrast.
- Pages keep a logical heading order and include a “Skip to content” link.
- Video plays muted by default; sound is always the viewer’s choice.
Known limits
- The work is visual by nature and most videos are music-led. Where a piece includes speech that isn’t captioned, a transcript is available on request.
- Playable ads are interactive game builds made for phones and may not support every assistive technology.
